The “Mid-Years” cover a significant part of Corvette history, the 1963 to 1967 models, a unique exercise in design and power, coveted by many and considered the “true classic Corvette”.

Our offer today is a very desirable 1965 Coupe which in 2012 sustained a thorough frame off restoration to very high standards of quality as seen in the pics.  Basically, every nut and bolt was taken apart and addressed properly, refurbished or replaced with new or NOS parts.   It looks and feel like a “new” 1965!

Power comes from a GM 383 Stroker engine with high rise intake manifold, upgraded carburetor and ceramic powdered headers, also electronic MSD ignition.  Output was not documented, but this set up easily can put out 300-350 HP.  It is mated with a correct 4-speed manual transmission and they both perform flawlessly. Engine compartment is highly detailed with lots of Chrome.   Has new gas tank and gas lines.  Note the very clean and integral undercarriage with all new rubber!  Also, the steering was upgraded to powered rack-and-pinion allowing for a civilized drive. Add to that, new disk brakes all around and you are secure... The 4.11 rear end gives you some acceleration!  the Chrome American Racing mag wheels give it a mild custom look too.

One of the strongest qualities on this car is the exquisite and correct for the year Milano Maroon paint which is virtually flawless and allowed the car to win a few awards!  Chrome is exquisite, black Interior is all new as well.

All in all, this is a very nice example or a desirable 65 Coupe completely done and ready for the show.
