Towards the end of the 70s, the HP started to creep back up and the 78 model was rated at 185 HP for the base L48 and at 220 HP for the optional L82...  Our offered example is coming equipped with this optional L82 engine (only 27% of production), but when mated with the rare 4-speed manual transmission (only 10% of production), we can safely assume there were not too many made this way. 

After sitting for a while, this Vette was brought back to life and sustained a thorough mechanical and cosmetic rejuvenation.  It received a new set of tires, new brakes, new 2.5\" Magnaflow exhaust, bushings, 4-wheel alignment, new fuel pump, new hoses, new belts, etc. 

Engine is the matching numbers L82 with the correct finned Aluminum valve covers, also the carburetor is correct and matches.   Manual transmission, 4-speed M21 close ratio is original to the car too. 

Interior has what it appears to be the original leather seat covers which survived pretty good, but with a few imperfections, carpet is decent, dash looks pretty good.  All gauges work, except clock.   Tach was worked on and functions intermittently, though.  AC is all there, may need recharge.  Vacuum operated headlights are functional.

Paint shows pretty good with the exception of the passenger side headlight cover as seen in the pictures. 

Car is a great choice for someone what would like to take it to the next level as all the heavy work was done.
