The original factory stock engine is a hand built 7.0L 16V aluminum LS7 SOHC V8 with 505 hp. and 470 ft.-lb. of torque. The engine has an 8-quart dry sump oil system; titanium valves and connecting rods. The independent front and rear suspension is double wishbone. Of course, the Z06 has traction control with active handling and vehicle stability control and limited slip differential. Both the active handling & traction control can be manually turned off.
