THE VETTE NET, Nationwide Corvette Brokerage Network, proud Lifetime Business Member of the National Corvette Museum is pleased to offer a great value: 1969 Red Coupe with 4-speed transmission.
Coming right after the hastily introduced 1968 Corvette, the 1969 model was more refined and quickly became \"the bumper car to have\". Indeed, this model is one the most affordable and desirable collectibles with a great appreciation potential.
This particular example features a correct L46 CE block (over the counter factory GM replacement, usually done under warranty) rated at 350/350 coupled with 4-speed Muncie M20 wide ratio transmission. It has the correct console plate also the tach redlines at 6000 RPM indicative of the high HP engine. Has correct Aluminum valve covers apparently original, factory GM Aluminum LT1-style intake coupled with 650 CFM Edelbrock carburetor. Engine seems untouched as proved by the A-0-R original timing cover, the correct GM deep-groove pulleys and correct HP front balancer. It also has a Mallory electronic distributor and refurbished exhaust manifold. Engine runs smoothly, exhibits lots of power and is ready to go on a long trip.
Other features include posi-traction rear axle, 3.36:1, code AM, Power steering, manual brakes.
Car has been well maintained over the years and has lots of new parts: new exhaust, new tires 245-60/15 BFG TA white-letters radials, new fuel tank, new brake pads, new master cylinder and brake lines. Bushings, all rubber items appear recent.
Vacuum system works flawlessly operating both the wiper door and headlamp in good condition. Fiberoptics work as well as the heater and defroster.
Car was born originally LeMans Blue and not sports a 2-3 year old very nice Monza Red paint. It is a driver+ quality with only a few imperfections. It has new Chrome bumpers, new license bezel, new taillight lenses, new exahaust bezel and tips. Glass appears original with LOF stamp on the windshield and the \"Astro Ventilation\" on the sides.
Interior is new: carpet, seat covers, foam, door sill covers. Door panels appear original. All instruments, horn, etc work (except clock, of course!), including the buzzer...
Miles show 80K, appear original judging the overall condition, but cannot be substantiated.
Frame and undercarriage is in flawless condition with no signs of rust.
All in all, this is a very nice and presentable 1969 Corvette in excellent mechanical condition, with lots of appeal, a great choice for the first Corvette without breaking the bank.
Corvette trades are entertained, nationwide delivery provided if necessary.
