In our quest to bring to your attention special Corvettes, we are pleased to present one of the most iconic and desirable model, the one and only, 1958!  With unique looks, one year appeal and milestone status, this Corvette is very sought after by enthusiasts and collectors alike.  

Our offer today is a fine example of this vintage which was meticulously off-frame restored to "better than new" quality, the result being a classic car brought to modern technological standards, but with ultimate respect to originality.  Present owner had it since 1975, so, for 40 years he gave it a lot of love and attention, also can attest to what was done.   Whenever possible, original or NOS parts were used.   Only 1000 miles were put on the car since restoration.

First of all, it got a quality base coat/clear coat paintjob in the original Snowcrest White with Inca Silver coves as built.  Body was stripped to bare fiberglass showing no evidence of major collision.   Minor repairs were made in the typical crack prone areas.  Front nose (center of headlights down) was replaced with NOS part due to customization sometime in the past.   Nose was separated at factory bonding strips and correctly reassembled.   New Al Knock interior is present.   All the glass and lexi-glass is new and date coded same as original.

The original 283, dual barrel engine, rated at 245 HP was rebuilt to 100% stock configuration.  Carburetors were replated and rebuilt, intake manifold cleaned to original appearance, all other parts painted correctly... The original T-10 4 speed manual transmission was rebuilt to stock configuration, except that it has later T-10 side covers with reinforced ribs at the shifter bosses.   Positraction rear axle ratio is rated at 3.70.  Suspension is original and rebuilt to original specs.   Exhaust was replaced with stock reproduction parts from Corvette Central.  All brakes rebuilt to stock configuration.  Original wheel cylinders and master cylinder have been SS sleeved.  System has silicone brake fluid.   Steering also rebuilt, gear filled with CV joint grease.   Being a West Coast car, the frame had no rust, it was sandblasted then correctly painted.  

Factory options include (in addition to the 283/245 engine and the  4-speed manual transmission):

• heater
• Wonderbar radio
• courtesy lights
• windshield washer 
• 6.70 x 15 Whitewall tires
• auxiliary hard top (in place of soft top)
• two-tone exterior paint
• positraction rear axle 3.70

In addition, several aftermarket add-ons: Mylar clear strip between hard top and folding top lid to protect paint, floor mats in Daytona weave with Corvette logo to match carpet.  

Car is shown regularly and wins awards everywhere...
