This model is quite special, since it marked the end of the transition from the steel bumper cars, now featuring both front and rear polyurethane bumpers.   Also, this is the year when the last Big Block engine, the 454, was ever offered on a classic Vette.  With a production of 40606, Corvettes were close to the height of their popularity.

This particular model has benefited from a lot of freshening up lately: it has a newer paintjob in the original Mille Miglia Red, code 76L, a stunning color for a Convertible.  Interior is a rare Dark Red (aka Ox Blood), with new seat covers, front carpet, etc.  It has a new beige vinyl top which fits perfectly.   All gauges work properly, vacuum operating headlights too.  It has an upgraded rear bumper.

Engine is the base 350 (L48) which has the matching numbers correctly stamped on the engine block.  The top end was taken apart and cylinder heads were freshened up.  Engine compartment was detailed and painted.  AC benefited from new style Sanden compressor which holds the charge and blows cold AC. Transmission is the original 4 speed: it shifts as it should.   A Magnaflow exhaust allows for better breathing out and offers a more HP and a sporty sound.  Undercarriage is very clean with no signs of any problems.
This is a great car, all done, ready for weekend cruises, also having a great appreciation potential.  Here is your chance to own a classic Stingray without breaking the bank!
