Vehicle Description:

THE VETTE NET is a nationwide Corvette brokerage network and proud Lifetime Business Member of the National Corvette Museum. Thanks for stopping by to look at this ONE-OWNER classic Marlboro Maroon 1967 big block Corvette coupe. It is located in MICHIGAN.

In 1980, this Corvette received a frame off restoration but as you know restorations do not last forever. This “one-owner” BIG BLOCK coupe does need a cosmetic restoration and is presented to you as a project Corvette.

The frame is solid. It does show minimal oxidation on a few surfaces that would be easy to clean up. The interior would benefit from just a good cleaning and repair of the driver door panel armrest.

Other details---The passenger “a-pillar” shows signs of rust near the base. That section of the windshield frame is available (reproduction) from several Corvette parts suppliers. The other a-pillar might also need repair. The owner removed the interior kick panels and said the metal visible appears to be solid and still shows the factory green paint. The headlight brackets are rusty and should be replaced. The headlights do not rotate up.

This Corvette is an excellent candidate for a partial or full restoration or conversion to a restomod. Yes, the rusty a-pillars and headlight frame/brackets will require attention but the rest of the car appears solid.

How often do you find a one-owner big block 1967 Sting Ray coupe in this good condition for sale as a project? This classic Corvette is worthy of your serious consideration.

In the 1970, the owner hit road debris and tore a hole in the oil pan and the engine seized. Keep in mind back then Corvette enthusiasts were not as focused on matching numbers. The 427/390hp engine currently in the Vette is a CE (counter exchange) motor purchased from GM in the 70’s and installed by the dealer. That engine has been driven only 35,000 miles and runs very strong.

The body panels on this Sting Ray coupe are all original. The doors close properly and do not sag. The body panel gaps are typical of that era.

Options include • (L36) Big block 427ci. 390hp engine (Now a CE replacement)  â€¢ (M22) Close ratio Muncie 4-speed transmission  â€¢ (G81) Positraction axle  â€¢ (N40) Power steering  â€¢ (A01) Soft Ray tinted glass  â€¢ (U69) Delco AM/FM radio  â€¢ (988) Marlboro Maroon paint  â€¢ (STD) Black vinyl interior
