In 2006,
the current owner purchased this big block 1969 Stingray T-top from its
original owner. The car had been stored in his (original owner’s) garage since
1974. The odometer shows 44,037+ miles. That just might be the correct mileage
considering the car had not been driven for over 32 years. As you might expect,
the condition of this Stingray is far from perfect. It has been pretty well
preserved but it would benefit from a complete frame off restoration.
The body
is still attached to the frame but some of the restoration work has been
started. The original engine was rebuilt to factory stock specifications and
has been road tested just a few hundred miles. The engine pad still has the
stamped VIN and engine numbers. The broach markings are also visible. Many of
the parts that were attached to the engine appear to be original as well. The
front suspension is new as are the brakes and tires.
With this
big block 1969 Corvette, you have a choice. Do a complete safety check and
repair what is needed. Then go have fun driving an awesome big block! Do the
restoration later.
Or, ……
start the restoration now. Earn the personal satisfaction of bringing this
Corvette back to life and collect the awards when you’re done.
You make
the decision knowing this 1969 Corvette is a great value and worthy of your
closer inspection. I can arrange that too.
