The 1980 Corvette is the most representative and refined late Stingrays, also considered the last of the non-electronic Vettes since there is not one transistor present.   This can be quite useful in case of a serious electromagnetic storm where all computerized devices will likely cease to work ;-)... Joke aside, the simplicity and relative crude-ness, combined with the special appeal, makes this model a very good choice for first time Vetters, also a great buy money-wise with likely appreciation potential (if you wait long enough).

Our choice today is a very fine example of a "survivor quality" since all of it appears as it came from the factory.  Best feature is the rare 4-speed manual transmission which was available for roughly only 10% of production, which is quite surprising for a sports car.  In any case, this car came from the factory equipped with the base L48 engine present now, aluminum wheels and the desirable LOF glass tops, a hard to find item.  It recently got new new tires, new brakes, calipers, rubber lines, pads, completely rebuilt matching numbers carburetor,   All is in working order: AC blows cold (has new "spider" valve and switch, windows goes up and down as they should, emergency brakes works, horn blows..  

Paint is all original laquer which is in very good shape showing signs of aging, but still very presentable.  It was recently professionally rejuvenated.  The aluminum wheels were recently polished and look almost like Chrome.  Odometer shows 73K which is likely original.  Interior is all original, all gauges work, except clock, of course.

All in all, this is a great choice for your first Vette, or simply a driver to enjoy and eventually upgrade.  Located in FLORIDA, we will assist with delivery nationwide and international.
