Vehicle Description:
THE VETTE NET is a nationwide Corvette brokerage network and proud Lifetime Business Member of the National Corvette Museum. Thanks for stopping by to look at this beautiful Ermine White nicely modified 1964 Corvette convertible. If you are searching for a restored midyear convertible that is very fast, take a close look at this beautiful example. It certainly is very well done. Here are the details.
Let’s begin with an overview of the engine. This Corvette was originally ordered with the 327ci/365hp. engine and Muncie 4-speed. That engine was recently overhauled and now rests on an engine stand in storage. It is all there, oil pan to air cleaner and numbers matching. Yes, the engine pad still has the numbers and broach markings. The owner also has the 4-speed Muncie and other original parts including the original hood and seats. It is all part of the package when you buy the Corvette.
Providing the power now is a balanced and blue printed high performance 350ci. Corvette engine. The short block is a 2002 LS1. The heads are from a LS2. Fuel delivery is managed by a Holley 4-barrel and spark provided by eight high intensity coils–– one for each cylinder. The owner rates the engine at 450 horsepower.
That Tremec 5-speed transmission will add significantly to your fun factor when driving this Sting Ray convertible. Yes, it has overdrive. At the rear you will find a Positraction differential with 3.55 gears. Lots of chassis/driveline upgrades also have been done and this Corvette is ready for you to enjoy.
The owner installed the 1967 big block stinger hood for its great looks and to let others know something special resides in the engine bay. This is not your ordinary 1964 Corvette convertible.
The interior is all restored and in excellent condition. Did you notice the 1982 Corvette red leather seats? They are very comfortable and add to the overall high quality appearance.
As you will see, the frame is very nice and shows no evidence of repair. The owner states the birdcage is excellent and the body has all its original panels. Photos from the restoration have been assembled into an album (prints). You will see many photos of the body stripped of its paint and showing the original fiberglass.
