"I just want to relate an excellent buying experience that I had with Ken. He was very courteous and professional. My purchasing experience was very good.

My only complaint is normally you get a full tank of gas when you buy a car. : ) I also most comment on a dealer in the KC area. They specialize in classic Vettes. Ken was trying to refer me to them and called them on the cell phone for me. This dealer's response was basically "Ken... go blank yourself. I will sell Corvettes my way". That's not exactly what was said but what was implied. I wanted to look at an older Vette while I was in town buying mine. Ken was trying to help me out and take me buy the dealer who had a few. A friend also wanted me to look for him as well.

But with owner's response on the telephone made me feel that my business wasn't worth while if it came from Ken. So what if Ken would get a referral fee or other incentive if I bought a car. The bottom line is the guy had a potential customer handed to him that he would never have reached before! So potentially that person lost 2 sales. Not only that it ticked me off enough I am telling all of you too!

Lets just say it will be a cold day in hell before I call that guy even though he had a car I was seriously interested in. It made my buying experience with Ken even better. Not to mention I had emailed him what I was originally looking for and in less than 24 hours he had tracked down something very close to what I was looking for.

I was in the car business for many years. I know all the games. Ken came across as a real straight shooter on my deal. The final transaction was extremely painless except for the huge check I had to part with. I highly suggest you give him a shot for finding your next Vette. Thanks Ken! 2001 Navy Convertible

For those who may have an interest ... I wanted to publicly express my appreciation to Ken at The Vette Net (www.thevettenet.com) for the professionalism and speed with which he secured a 2001 Coupe to the exact specifications I had requested. I had ordered from a local dealer who, after quoting a price and accepting a deposit, tried to "bump" the price by several thousand upon delivery. I contacted Ken and found an identical Corvette. I not only saved the attempted "bump" in price, I got my new Corvette for several thousand below sticker!

Please excuse those offended by my "promoting" Ken's services, but I am a purchaser, not a "hypester". My Corvette was delivered last Saturday to my front door!

Ken can help with both buying and selling. He was able to get me $1,000 more for my 2000 trade-in than the dealer was willing to give. He arranged the sale through my dealer so I still got the sales tax credit for the trade-in but at the new higher price. Ken did 99% of the work.

I'd like to tell fellow Forum members about a great Corvette buying experience I recently had.

I've made my share of vehicle purchases, but this transaction was exceptional, and since it involved a Corvette Forum member and supporter, I thought I should tell the Forum about it.

Recently, I purchased my Corvette from THE VETTE NET. I saw The Vette Net's ad for a very nice 1994 6-speed coupe, and contacted Ken at THE VETTE NET in Kansas City. I had never heard of The Vette Net before, and was a little unsure of how things would go. My concerns turned out to be unnecessary, as Ken was extremely helpful, and set up the entire transaction, including a buyer for my current car.

After a little negotiation and information exchange, we settled on a price, which of course was dependent on a satisfactory in-person inspection of the car.

When I arrived in Kansas City (a 3 hour drive from my home), Ken was there, ready with the Corvette and all the paperwork. There was no pressure; we took a good test drive, and Ken made sure that I all my questions were answered, and even arranged some time on a lift so that I could examine the underside of the car.

Ken was very professional, and always went 'the extra mile' to make sure things went smoothly. Additionally, even though the sale has been completed some time ago, he has since contacted me several times post-sale with additional information he had found on the car, and to make sure I was happy.

That's real customer service, and it's pretty rare, especially when dealing with used vehicles.

(I have no financial ties or other interests in THE VETTE NET; I've just had so many poor buying experiences that I like to give credit to those people/companies that make the effort to do things right.)

What can I say.....Ron was GREAT. He had the car ordered, built as promised, and delivered at a dealer about an hour away. Ron was there for the delivery and could not have been more helpful. I can tell you that a GMS purchase with $1500 with my GM card and this car was CHEAP. Out the door it was about $43,500! Ron, you are the man...thank you and the VetteNet

2001 Loaded Pewter Coupe!!!

This letter is to thank Ken at "thevettenet.com" for all of his expertise and Kindness during the purchase of our 2000 Corvette. After almost 6 months of research, we found a 1999 corvette for sale on the Net. After giving our offer, the owners chose not to sell. Ken instructed us to continue looking at his web site daily as new Corvettes were always added. We did as he instructed and a few days later we came across this beautiful Millennium yellow 2000. Only 7500 miles with all the toys we wanted. We in fact wound up paying less for this car than we would have for the 1999. After giving Ken our offer he contacted the owner whom in turn contacted us. We sent the owner a certified check and the car was delivered from Kansas to our front door step in Virginia via trailer truck. It arrived in perfect condition within a week of purchase. There was a nominal delivery fee, which was definitely worth it, just for the convenience. We also wanted chrome wheels for the 2000 and again Ken came to our aid. The wheels were purchased and shipped right to our home also. They look beautiful. Purchasing a car over the net was at first scary to us, but I can assure you with Ken's help it was a breeze. The whole process was very enjoyable (unlike most car dealerships) and very well organized.
