We are pleased to offer a very special 1981 Corvette turned into a monster Hot Rod, also retaining civilized street manners.
First of all, it is endowed with a fire breathing 327/350 engine. It is a correct 1966 Corvette L79 application, 11/1 pistons, P. Jackson gear drive, breathing in through an Edelbrock high rise intake and a Holley 750 32/10 carburetor, breathing out through complete Chrome Hooker side exhaust system. Has electric fuel pump, electric assisted cooling fan in addition to the mechanical fan.
Transmission is a TH700R 4-speed automatic with an overdrive with a B&M 3000 stall "Street Fighter" new torque converter.
Rear tires are quite impressive: Mickey Thompson 275/60/15 drag radials on 15x8 Corvette Rally wheels, fronts are 235/60/15. Rear end is a brand new 4.10 positraction rear axle.
It sport a stunning new Charcoal metallic paint, also glass tops. The tip of the nose is a little pitted (like they all are) and is nicely protected by a "bra". Interior has new seats, new stereo... All gauges function, except the clock, of course. Power windows work, AC blows cold.
This is a great example of a great street fighter, race winner, show piece... Lots of money and plenty of imagination was invested in its creation, so you will simply have to enjoy it.
