We are pleased to offer a very special car, a rare 1978 Coupe with the manual transmission. Only 4773 models with the base L48 engine received this tranny, code MM4, 4 speed wide ratio out of a total production was 40274 which make it quite special. Besides, what is a sports car with an automatic transmission, anyway???
In any case, this particular model lived in Florida for the most part of its later life and is in great condition. Born "Corvette Light Blue", RPO 26L, it now sports a newer White paint job in very good condition. Interior is the correct, Dark Blue Leather, RPO 292 which appears to have been updated since it looks fairly new. It comes with the optional power windows, factory blue glass tops correctly stamped LOF M1131 and aluminum wheels.
Mechanically, car is very sound, starts as it should, engine exhibits lots of power, doesn't smoke, transmission shifts smoothly, vacuum operated properly. Present owner had new brakes, calipers, pads, etc installed, also had the power steering rebuilt. AC system is all there, converted to R-134a and will need recharging.
This is a great opportunity to own a classic alive. 1978 was the 25th year of Corvettes and they all had special commemorative emblems. Also, this model marked the introduction of the "fast back" available till 1982.
